742 At RAF Kemble

Fri Feb 08, 2002 11:49 pm

A couple of months ago I saw a BA 747 200 at Kemble airfield, the old RAF airbase and home to the Red Arrows years ago. The aircraft in question had Chatham Dockyard Tail pattern but no BA writing. Anyone out there know what it was doing there?

Actually I think you'll find it's being broken up.

The only 742 of BA with Union Flag-tail was G-BDXB. That aircraft has been sold for scrap last autumn. I don´t know if it still exists.
