It looks like there's a wingtip, but I can't quite see. I'm guessing an A310, but its only a guess.

I can see the wingtip fence so it must be an A310. Also, the windows are just not Boeing!

Without a doubt, A310. A couple of give-aways: tail cone exhaust set-up & window shape.

A310

why?

Tail shape
horizontal stabilizer shape
winglet
overwing exit
windows.

Now about the registration ... hmmm, I don't know if I could know that one. I could take a guess and be 25% correct!

A search here reveals no 757's or A300's for Royal, pretty conclusive: A310.

This just in:

The three 732's that were at the Canjet hangars in YHZ were supposed to depart today for YYZ then YEG, any ideas what is in YEG for them? Paintshop?

I am posting this here because most of the readers for this topic are of Canadian nationality or interest.

Actually, this site has a great deal of Royal 757 photos!

Nevertheless, it's a 310!
Next flight.... who knows.

Look closely at this plane.
Engines on a 757 are pretty much flat in the rear end and don't have that funny cone thing like on the A-310. also you can see part of the wingtip fence just aft of the 737.

Maybe they're off to YEG for painting or an overhaul...this could be a good sign!

All the USair planes from Canjet and Royal are heading to Edmonton. Most likely to the paint shop. I hear they have a good facility and good prices in Edmonton.

What I heard was that they were on the way to Winnipeg, and that is where Royal and Canjet had their aircraft configured in the past. Whether this is just a coincidence, I don't know.

Stay tuned ...

I have a friend from Canjet who will be flying one of the aircraft and he has been told that all 10 airplanes are going to Edmonton. Even the Royal aircraft will be flown by the canjet boys.

The emergency exit in the middle of the plane gives it away, its an A310-300.

Did he tell you why they are going to Edmonton? Is it in preparation for the April opening of Royal II? (still sketchy)

A310 because of tail, winglet, and it looks like a widebody.

Hey there cessnapimp.
They are not told of the reason for the trip to Edmonton.
They are just basicly contracted to fly the trip by USair.

It is an A310. It has a door on the wing, which the 757s dont.

Oh boy, it's final. It's an A310! I don't know how anybody, assuming they've actually read the other posts, can still think it's a 757. My mother could tell the difference given the facts!

Vref, did you get any info as to why Edmonton though??? I'm sure the pilots flying there must know something. USAir wouldn't fly the aircraft to Edmonton, they'd return them to the US.

If anybody hears anything new, let us all know  Smile

In doing some searching for the ex-Canjet planes, the TC database shows that most if not all the ex Canjet and Royal 737s are now owned by a company in Edmonton called STRUCTURES UNLIMITED INC. (PARSONAGE & ASSOCIATES). They have a website which doesn't provide much info. Here are the links.

This one is the reg entry for C-FVCJ, but all the 737s are there:

http://www.tc.gc.ca/aviation/activepages/ccarcs//MarkSearch.asp?x_Mark=FVCJ&x_lang=e&x_updated=2002-02-06&x_start=0&x_searchtype=3

Here is the new owners website:

http://www.parsonage-associates.com/

It's possible that they had to change the ownership just to transport these planes to YEG.

Anyone know of this company??

I have emailed the company, but honestly, I don't know if that will work. If I do get a reply back, I will share it with you all. Sounds interesting to me.

To me it seems as if the aircraft will remain in Canada, otherwise they would have returned to the United States back to USAir. We'll have to wait and see what develops.

It is 110% an A310, the wingtip, shape of the wing, undercarriage, width and height of the fuselage, shape of the tail, the engines, length from the wing to the engines, window shape and emergency exits. Its quite obviously an A310.

Not that its not been said before...

1000% A310.
Compare the two landing gear doors. The A310 and B752 landing gear doors are pretty different.

It's me again. I looked at the search feature here just for Royal, they have A310's (GE CF6's), 757's (RR -535's), and 737s. The plane has CF6's, and winglets. Period.
