73G:
N23721 exited IAH 676/12Sep, doesn't show slimlines, which is quite disappointing (in IAH 8/16/17)

752:
N19117 finally exited MCN 2695/13Se with scimitars

764:
N66057 appears to be headed to HKG for crew rest mod. En route HNL currently 2829/13Sep.
Now zero aircraft in MCN - end of MCN as maint station??

Never thought we would see a new Polaris 767 that quick in Hamburg! So maybe we are not as unimportant to United as I thought.

These are revenue flights on the Polaris 767?

If so those premium fliers must have been quite surprised!

Question: the international cities that are getting the 77W, is Polaris being advertised and promoted?

All the maintenance work on N26070 is done. There is still no routing for it yet.

Not sure what A320 N446UA was in HOU for but it’s back at IAH and back in service.

HOU has been doing special 1 day holds on the Airbus fleet recently, nothing fancy.

Yes, just check todays UA865 on united.com flight status, you can see it at the seatmap. Was really quick suddenly with the 767 Polaris!

I just hope the others are as speedy...although sadly it doesn't appear to be the case. I have gone online to read some customer reviews of Polaris by non-aviation geeks and they reception is (for the most part) very good, in some cases a few people were over the moon (no pun intended) raving about it. (There were naturally a couple of cynics)
Today UA has probably has had a few thousand people who've flown in Polaris on the 77W and when that number exponentially increases flight by flight, aircraft by aircraft, I think it will seriously help UA's historically sagging reputation. (perhaps not in the back though) I am going to TLV in November on the 77W from EWR in Polaris. I'm looking forward to it. I think it stinks for those who don't know that one of the 2 flights to TLV from EWR is a 772 with the old product. If you go out on the 77W and return on the 772...that passenger will be bummed out.

739:
N37467 entered LCQ 2800/15Sep, hopefuly for slimlines.
Maybe the first 737 inot LCQ explains why MCN has no aircraft in for work.

772:
N226UA sked to enter XMN 2779/16Sep - didn't operate, stays in revenue service for now.
N228UA sked to exit XMN 2798/16Sep - didn't operate

UAX update from another contributor on a different thread:
E175:
N750YX entered revenue service with Republic 13Sept

CR2:
N425AW (2002 build) entered UAX service with Air Wisconsin

CR7:
N796SK has not flown since engine fire on 2nd July. Suspect this frame will be retired/scrapped (hence the 1 added CR7 retirement this year)

Q200:
N368PH is in for fleet exit prep

MCN went out of business or lost our contract. Duluth has opened up and is taking Airbuses and 737s....

Might be nothing, but intriguing none the less,

737-600 has been added to the AMM.......

Yes, you are correct! I went into the AMM and notice the "6." I looked in the Effectivity Selector hoping to see aircraft numbers for the 600 series, but there is nothing there so far.

I'm sure it's not true, but just for the sake of argument, would the 736 qualify as a small narrowbody for the pilot scope clause? Since the CS100 qualifies for additional 76er's, but the CS300 does not, where does the 736 fit in?

UA would have to really want more 76ers to justify a plane that no one else seems to like and they have already essentially done away with them when they were unhappy with the 735 economics (relative to the 733).

The 736 isn't listed in the collective bargaining agreement as an allowed new small narrowbody for the purposes of bringing more large regional jets into the Express fleet.

Technically speaking, I don't even think there are enough 736s out there to even be worth it. They built fewer than 70 and a number of them have already been scrapped. The only way it could possibly work to their benefit is if they actually got the airplanes for free, and even then.. If they're really going to go that route, the CS100 would obviously make more sense. I'm sure there's absolutely nothing to this, and I would literally eat my hat if that weren't the case, but it is funny to consider!

SK is reportedly ditching their fleet of 16 737-600 as new 320NEOs join. I wonder if there is an opportunity there?

At the right price, with slimlavs and current-gen slimline seats, with no forward closet or galley unit aft of 1R, I think UA would be able accommodate 8F/108Y with E+, which could make its economics comparable to the 319.

Yes, the config of 8F/108Y is likely without something different with lavs. Maybe one lav between F and Y and an aft Y lav would do the trick and save some space.
That's 4F and 6Y fewer than the 73G slimline and 12Y less than the 319.
Price and fuel burn might be lower than the 319 and integration might take less than the China Southerns, which I'm not saying should be cancelled.
I'm sure the range would beat the 73G/738/739, but is that necessary?
Note that SK has 9 stored aircraft plus the 16 in service, so it looks like 25 might be available. They've already scrapped the rest. They are 1998/1999 vintage. WestJet also flys 13 736s, which may be 2005/06 builds.

I am not getting my hopes up but for nothing but redic personal reasons I would love if it came to pass. The 736 is the only 737 type I haven't flown.

CO had ordered 737-624s but ended up taking only the 73G & endless 738s

Nothing in the works on 737-600's.
The MX drop down had to be changed from previous 737-7/8/9 to the actual Boeing title of the manual 737-600700/800/900. Look at the header of a page when you display or print it.

This had to change due to the Max being 737-7/8/82/9/10. That is all....lol

I'm not sure the 736 "deal" is as disappointing as this one.
738:
N76528 exited MIA 2691/20Sep, apparently w/o slimlines. I know it was during Irma, but 3 weeks in MIA and no mod completion.
I don't quite understand why UA gets almost all of a reconfig completed, then moves on to another type with a few left to complete. There were only ten 738s and three 739 left to go, but the 73G are moving along while 738/739 appears to stall. There is a 739 in MOD, hopefully (N38467/LCQ).

That is curious, if true. Perhaps it's a momentary supply issue - enough slimline seats on hand to do a 73G, but not enough for a 738 or 739...?

N26970 They like to call these ‘delivery flights’

Surprise aircraft ‘switcheroo’ makes for memorable delivery flight

On Wednesday, nearly 100 employees from across the country convened in Everett, Washington, to take part in our latest aircraft delivery from Boeing. Originally scheduled to be a Boeing 737, attendees were surprised and thrilled to learn after arriving that they would actually be traveling on board a brand-new 787.

The trip was meant to pay tribute to employees who have gone above and beyond in some capacity in their daily roles. The ones who participated were hand-selected by leadership as a way to say “thank you” for their exceptional work.

The event began on Tuesday with a tour of Boeing’s Renton, Washington, manufacturing plant and a dinner that evening at the Museum of Flight in Seattle, where BOM (Mumbai, India) Security Agent Zubair Kazi and SFO 747 First Officer Theresa Claiborne signed for the new plane. On Wednesday the group assembled at PAE (Paine Field, Washington) in Everett, where employees got their first glimpse of the 787 up close.

“The opportunity to tour the Boeing factory and ride in a brand-new airplane – I would say that was the best experience I have had in my 22 years at United,” said IT Senior Support Analyst Timothy Devine. IAH Avionics Technician Scott Cole concurred, calling it, “a truly great event.”

DCA (Reagan Washington National) 767/757 Captain Mary Blissard was invited after being named DCA’s captain of the year in 2016. “The evening before we were scheduled to depart, they told us about the plane swap, and everyone went crazy,” she said. “The whole time we were there, we were treated like royalty. The Boeing hosts were the best, and my colleagues were such impressive people. I was humbled to be with that group.”

SFO Flight Attendant Teresa Lessenich was at a loss for words afterward. “It was such an amazing feeling to step on that beautiful 787 and make the inaugural flight with it to its United home. I will never forget this day.”

IAD Base Supervisor Alex Barreto called the flight and the celebration around it a lasting memory. “My hard work and dedication has contributed to where United Airlines is, and I’m proud to be a member of such a great company.”

Employee Relations and Engagement VP Jill Eshbaugh, Chief Financial Officer and VP Tom Doxey and Inflight Operations VP John Slater, along with Chef Gerry McLoughlin and DEN Line Technician Brad Hutson, cut the ceremonial red ribbon prior to everyone boarding the aircraft. SFO 787 Captain K.D. Jost and LAX First Officer Dan Guerrero had the pleasure of piloting it from PAE to ORD.

Given the aircraft was actually delivered to UA some weeks ago... ceremonial delivery flight perhaps

From looking at what kinds of work are done post delivery, the planes coming straight out of the factory are not compliant to carry passengers. They lack the necessary safety equipment.

That sounds like a really wonderful thing United did for its 100 employees. Must feel very different to be at United today than just a few years ago.

Heard the Panasonic WiFi equipped planes are getting upgraded to fix the chronic connectivity issues. Apparently they’re upgrading the satellite modems and doubling the capacity of the wireless access points on the plane due to customer complaints. Previously the planes only had capacity for about half the customers onboard to connect. The work may have started last month. Maybe some of the UA Tech Ops folks know the schedule. This would likely impact the A319/320, B767, B777, B787 and the sUA 739s.

N768UA is in Victorville for a 12 day paint job. It is scheduled to be returned to service on October 6.

There are two Airbus at Victorville for paint also (4629, 4643).
