I read in a magazine several months ago that Boeing was going to produce a BBJ2 out of B-757s. Has anyone else heard about this? Is it still in the works?

There is a BBJ2 on the drawing board, but it's a 737NG, a 737-700 I believe. I'm not sure if it's in opperation yet, but I think it's currently on the production line. Correct me if I'm wrong, but no, the BBJ2 is a 737, not a 757.

Here's a link to all of the specs for Boeing's a/c. If you scroll down you'll see a link for the BBJ and BBJ2. That will give you some info. Also, http://www.boeing.com will have their website for the BBJs- under "Corporate Aircraft."

And it's the -800. The first BBJ is a -700 with the wing box and wing of an 800.

Boeing is kicking around the idea of a BBJ 3, which would be a really really sweet 757.

BBJ 737-700 with -800 wing and gear
BBJ2 737-800
*proposed* BBJ3 757-200

Don't know the current status of the BBJ3, but the BBJ and BBJ2 have been flying for a few years now. Can't wait till I collect them all  Smile

Boeing747-700 - Actually, there have been rumours (I am not certain how well substantiated) about the A340-200 bieng marketed as an ACJ (Airbus Corporate Jet) for heads of state and the very very very rich...

Aaahhhhhh, it's nice to see fellow BBJ/ACJ fans out there.

If you collect them all, want to go franctional?  Smile/happy/getting dizzy I get the BBJ3 on weekends!!!  Big thumbs up

I concur that I have also heard, direct press release from Airbus as a matter of fact, that the "ACJ340" is seriously being looked at. It's based on the A340-8000 if some of you remember that one. (A340-200 with 8,000nm legs)

I also think that Johan needs to start a private/corporate forum for us dreamers!
