Air Canada At ARN

Wed Feb 13, 2002 11:24 pm

I happened to see on the Internet that Air Canada was visiting Stockholm Arlanda today. The flight number was 7040 flying YYZ-ARN-VKO and according to thetrip.com the equipment was a B744. Does anyone of you have more information about this flight and what it was doing at ARN?

Its a Canadian government trade mission to Russia and Germany. As for its presence in Sweden, I'm not too sure about, possibly another trade mission?

Yes, this flight was diverted to Stockholm because of a medical emergency. An RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) officer on board the aircraft apparently had a heart attach.

For more info, check the post entitled Air Canada 747 to Moscow/Berlin/Munich
