KL/NW CDG LAX CDG Info?

Tue Feb 19, 2002 10:49 am

Its been ages since i flew KL or NW since I am a Star, oneworld and SkyTeam member. But next week I will be flying KL CDG AMS LAX and coming back LAX Detroit (DTT?) CDG...first question: is the DTT CDG also via AMS on NW/KL ?
I believe that the evening flight out of DTT is a DC10, what are NW DC10s like ? overall comfort for both KL and NW (seat pitch & entertainment).
Is Detroit an OK airport to transfer...will i be able to get out of the airport to get some fresh air ? i think i have 2 hours wait there.
thanx in advance.

What day are you connecting in Detroit?? (By the way, the code is DTW). If it's Sunday the 24th or after, you will be connecting in the newest, most spectacular airport in the United States. If it's before then, you'll be connecting in one of the oldest, ugliest airports in the United States (the NW WorldGateway opens on the 24th).

You will be going through AMS. The DC10's aren't great.

Why were they the worst you've ever been on? They all have new interiors and are very well mainted.

I have flown on NW's DC-10 six times and find them quite adequate. For people who really care about IFE they are a bit lacking in that area, but that is not a big deal to me. I have always found the planes to be quite clean and the FA's nice.

So, when was the NW DC10 interior last renewed ? I must say the idea of flying a DC10 pleases me a lot...
i dont care too much about IFE if the seats are of good pitch and comfy.

Have flown MSP-LGW on NWA DC-10 a few times the last couple years and it was very good service with very friendly crews with a great attitude.

I flew NW CDG-DTW a few months ago in Business and i found that the DC-10-30's are clean and well maintained aircraft with nice interiors. SO i dont understand where your opinion is coming from PolAir?
Once you have tasted flight, you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward; for there you long to return
