Vfw614, yes that was untill Van der Valk tours decided to buy their seats from ALM (their passengers didn't like the stop at the Azores). The DC-10-30 idea couldn't go ahead to to the fact that Amsterdam Airport wouldn't allow any new DC10 flights as of April 1st 2001 (thus making this plan impossible).
Looking at the new schedule of Dutch Carribean Express I think that Air Holland can wave goodbye to flying to the Dutch Carribean. Moreover, Thomas Cook intends to use Dutchbird to some Carribean destinations (I think they'll sooner use a B767 than Air Holand). Finally, why wouldn't Preussag use Air Holland? Martinair and Tranaavia are indirectly linked to Preussag (via KLM and TUI Netherlands).
BTW Air Orange, Air Holland has only 1 B757 left. One aircraft has been ferried to the US for storage I presume
