For someone like myself who donates monthly to UNICEF and acknowledges the amazing work that they do I personally welcome this brilliant gesture by Norwegian and having UNICEF on the tail of their newest Boeing 789 aircraft.

Well done Norwegian:-)

Good job Norwegian, UNICEF is certainly very deserving of support, they do a great job.

What is the extent of the agreement between the two parties: transport aid to areas who need it? And some financial contribution as well? Again, congrats Norwegian.

From article February 2017:

" UNICEF and Norwegian expand Cooperation

For ten years, UNICEF Norway and Norwegian have collaborated closely to help disadvantaged children worldwide. Now the agreement between UNICEF and Norwegian is extended to include UNICEF in Sweden, Denmark and the United States. It involves several campaigns and provides even more employees in Norwegian ability to help and assist.

"In line with Norway's international growth, it is natural that our cooperation with UNICEF is also expanded to more countries. At the same time, this is a great way to mark ten years of good cooperation between Norwegian and UNICEF Norway, "says CEO Bjørn Kjos.

Norway's signature partnership with UNICEF involves a number of joint activities aimed at helping disadvantaged children in the form of fundraising campaigns and other activities. Norwegian and UNICEF have for many years sent a fully loaded flight of school supplies and relief to parts of the world affected by war and conflict, including the world's second largest refugee camp, Za'atari in Jordan and the Central African Republic. Norwegian also has a feature on the website that allows passengers to donate money to UNICEF when ordering a flight ticket. Since June 2015, Norwegians passengers have donated more than NOK 9 million to UNICEF's work for children through this solution. The Norwegian employees also support UNICEF in the form that the annual Christmas present goes to the organization.

"During the ten years we have collaborated, we have had many exciting campaigns that have created a better future for children around the world. We are very excited to expand our cooperation so that we can reach even more children, "says Secretary General Camilla Viken in UNICEF Norway. "

Also, when the first Norwegian Boeing 737-8 Max landed in Norway earlier this year, severalof the seats had been auctioned off to several American aviation enthusiasts for a totalof 200 000 NOK.The Money went solely to UNICEF.
