Leasing New Aircraft

Fri Feb 22, 2002 3:24 pm

I am not sure if this is possible, but do airlines ever get brand-new aircraft from leasing companies? For example if I am a start up, and I want new A319 would a company like ILFC be able to supply with brand new A319s? Any help is appreciated.

Just one hint: ILFC and GECAS, the world's largest aircraft lessors, are Boeing's and Airbus' largest customers. At least with established carriers it is rather the rule to lease brandnew aircraft built specifically to the airline's wishes.
Nearly all big airlines do it that way, so don't worry they'll be glad to deliver brand-new aircraft.

I know it's only VfB but I like it!
