Best Way PHX To HNL

Wed Feb 27, 2002 1:35 pm

I am wondering... what is the best flight (First or Economy) and airline (non stop or Connection) to take from PHX to HNL?

thanks

Cactus Air still flies 747-200's on that route... I do believe...  Big grin

ATA flies 757-300's nonstop from PHX to HNL, but they're only coach-class.

First class options consist of flying up to SFO on United in First, then connecting to a UA, AA, or HA flight to the Islands. Or, you could take AA or UA regional jets to LAX, and then connect to AA, UA, or HA flights.

PHX-LAS HP (so you can check your bag thru to HNL)
LAS-LAX-HNL HA (no eqp change)

Rolex01, what the heck planet do you live on? You've had some very off the wall posts!!

First, no such thing as Cactus Air. America West has not had a 747 in their fleet for nearly 10 years now, and obviously no longer serves HNL from either LAS or PHX.

To answer the question: when I lived in AZ I wold fly America West to LAX and connect to NW. You can go straight through on AA, UA or DL with a stop in SFO, SJC or LAX. Nonstop is served by ATA as mentioned before.

Of course, First class is the only way to go... =)

Very biased opinion here  Smile

I'd fly American Eagle to LAX, and Hawaiian to HNL (frequent flyer miles are interchangeable). You can check luggage through, and the connection should be pretty easy.

The America West and NW option is an even better connection having to go from terminal 1 to terminal 2. No need to take a bus etc from across the airport. You can also earn Worldperk miles when flying on HP as well.
If you're going to take Eagle to LAX why not just stay on AA to HNL?

it's a preference thing I guess...
