SAA Historic Flight : CPT 17h00 Today

Fri Mar 01, 2002 5:40 pm

South African Historic Flight operates one of two DC-4's licensed in the world to carry passengers. Today at 17h00 a scenic flight will be undertaken around the Cape Penninsular. Cost ? R395.00 approx. US$35)

Don't know how many african members are Cape Town based, but I reckon this could really be good fun.

Current weather: partly cloudy clearing from the west. light westerly wind.

Any idea if these flights will be offered in March & April?? I will be in Cape Town approximately March 26 to April 20.
Would be thrilled to fly on one of the 4's. I feel lucky living near an airport (Fairbanks, AK) where there's a lone cargo-hauling DC-4 still operating. A flight in a restored pax DC-4 around Cape Town would be incredible! I'm really looking forward to visiting that part of the world again...

Any info would be greatly appreciated...
