Eva Air has not anounced it officialy. The BIAC Spokesman says that nothing has been decided and Brussels Slot Coordination can't give me the answer right now...

It would be nice though,

An other Far East operator at Brussels, except for Singapore Airlines, and China Southeast, and some cargo operators...

If you get the pax flight BRU will probably loose the cargo flights. This happened at least at AMS and will probably happen at BRU.

Yes or No? I don't know, but...

Recently Eva Air has been hiring some staff for their Brussels office (at Brucargo?). During the month of February Eva Air had 2 vacancies on display at http://www.brusselsairport.be/jobs/

1) Administrative Officer
2) Cargo Traffic Officer

At the present, it's kind of remarkable when an airline is seeking to hire new staff. So I thought that Eva Air's job ads could be seen in the light of some new operations at Brussels in a near future.

Previously also US Air was putting some vacatures on that site, a few months prior to the launching of their flight Philadelphia-Brussels.

China Eastern? I thought they were gone...

Is the stop at BRU for OZ merely a technical stop or are they (un)loading substantial amounts on/off these flights from ANC-JFK ? Do they have a trucking network (like SV has?) to feed these cargo flights?

Korean Air - 2x

Established, BRU is not a technical stop and they do have a large road feed network ex BRU

China Southeast to Brussels?!

A few months ago, China Eastern operated A340 flights from Brussels to Shanghai-Beijing via Madrid.
But they stopped flying this route  Sad

Cargo flights...

Asiana stops on it way to New York and back to Seoul. They load and unload about the whole aircraft here in BRU.

Korean passes trough BRU on mondays and thursdays.

Air Hong Kong about 9 times a week.

Singapore Airlines atleast daily.

Eva Air, was it 3 times a week?

Saudi Arabian, could be anything from atleast once a day to 3,4,5 times a day.

Lj, Amsterdam might have lost that cargo flight but they got the 747 combi instead. As far as I'm informed Eva would send a passenger version of the MD11 to BRU. Unless this is going to be a daily flight, I can not imagine that they would cancel their 3 times weekly MD11F. Besides Eva's MD 11F goes from BRU to SIN, the passenger flight would go to BKK.

Well Manni, indeed as long as you get the MD-11 pax flights there isn't any problem. However, as soon as BR switched from a MD-11 pax to a B747 Combi (boring, boring) it was goodbye to those lovely MD-11 freighters (and no chance to see to B744F). The AMS-TPE freighter flight used to have a different route than the AMS-TPE pax flight. Hope for BRU it won't happen (at least one place nearby where I can see those lovely BR MD-11s). Fortunately you don't have CI at BRU thus you're chances of losing the BR cargo flights are maybe not so high).

BTW, has the BR B744F ever been to BRU?

This has nothing to do with this topic, but does Saudi Arabian Airlines still fly with the B742F to Brussels? It is already more than a year ago I saw a B742 of SV in Brussels. They always operate the MD11F (HZ-ANA-ANB-ANC-AND).

They come occasionally, sometimes I've seen both Saudi 747 and MD-11F at the same time. Never seen a 744 though, only 742. Saw one taking off a few days ago, so they stilll use them here.

LJ,

I've never seen a 747F of EVA AIR at BRU. Personnaly I would not mind to see a 747 combi from EVA AIR in BRU instead of 2 MD11s (passenger+freighter), since they would only be the second airline operating a regular 747 flight in BRU for passenger. SIA is on the moment the only one operating 747s in BRU, RAM and Egyptair fly occasionally with a 747 to BRU aswell.

Having said all this, a 747-400 passenger aircraft + a 747-400 freighter would even be better offcourse!  Love

That might be true.

EVA will be using either M11 or 74E for 3x weekly TPE-BKK-BRU. I'm guessing 3x because EVA flies to AMS 4x a week.

Also, EVA has been awarded additional 16 to 19 weekly flights for Intercontinental flight from Bangkok. So watch out for either additional or new European flight from TPE/BKK.
