Tu-104 / 114 / 124

Sun Mar 10, 2002 10:09 am

Hi,

Has anybody ever flown on a Tu-104, -114, -124, -144, An-10, or Il-18? If yes, how was the flight, the interior?

I wish I had, especially the Il-18. There are some beautiful pictures taken inside a surviving flying Il-18 right here on Airliners.net. Go to the picture search menu. Chose "Ilyushin Il-18" for aircraft type and "Cabin Views" and views from aircraft from the category menu.

Unfortunately, there is precious little on the Tu-114; from descriptions I hear it was beautiful (and luxurious) inside.

Yea, Tu-114 was very good, my dad had flown on one from Tashkent to Moscow in 1960s, he said that it was a very comfortable airliner.

I'd have loved to see a TU-114, very impressive piece of Russian engineering.
