BMI Across The Atlantic

Mon Mar 11, 2002 1:09 am

Does anyone know how British Midland is doing on their flights from Manchester to both Washington Dulles and Chicago O'Hare? Are their flights running daily? Does anyone know how their load factor has been after 9-11? Any info would be great! Thanks.

MAN-ORD is daily and MAN-IAD is 6 weekly i.e. no change to their schedule.

See http://www.airliners.net/discussions/general_aviation/read.main/742281 for details!

Krisair - Load factor in isolation will tell you how many 'bums on seats' there were, but in order to make a judgement on whether a route is a success (e.g. is profitable) there are so many other things at play, none of which are generally in the public domain. Even if a route is profitable in its own right, an airline may believe it can make a greater profit by utilising the crew and aircaft on other services. Many a seemingly successful route has been canned because of this.

Hope this helps
