Vinnie Barbarino, Cleared To Land

Tue Mar 12, 2002 10:40 am

Can I get more info on John Travolta's "fleet"?

I know at one point he had a de Havilland Vampire.

Now I think he has 3 Gulfstreams and of course his B-707.

Does he still have the Vampire or his Lear(s) and are there any pics of them?

I remember reading that he has had at least two emergency landings. One involving his Gulfstream and the other the B-707. I think the later was an engine failure and he had to land at Logan, with an escort of course.

Long live Vinnie Barbarino!

What's another word for thesaurus?

In Travolta's film, `Look Who's Talking' (with a baby that `talked' with Bruce Willis' voice).... he flew a small exec. jet...was almost a fighter-trainer. Any ideas?
Looked like a BAC Strikemaster or Aeromachi or Piaggio somesuch...

I know it was just recently reported that he bought/is buying a Qantas 747SP. Not sure what the status is.

I think, but Im not positive that the jet in look whos talking is a Morane-Salnuier (sp?) MS.760 Paris...pretty much the oldest business jet out there...dates back to the 50's...

I recall that about ten years ago, Travolta was at the controls of his G-2, and lost electrical power over the east coast near DCA. He declared an emergency and landed at DCA. From what I have read, he always has an experienced pilot in the right hand seat when he acts as PIC.
