VG Airlines And SN Brussels.

Wed Mar 13, 2002 1:52 am

It's strange that this two carriers will share the old SABENA market, with VG operating only longhaul (only US?) flights and SN operating shorthaul and remaining longhauls. What do you think about this?
Is there any common strategy, or simply two airlines make what an unique airline (SABENA) did?

Any ideas for a signature?

The long haul flights of SNBA will be operated by another new company, Birdy. But the a/c will be painted in SNBA colours.

Yes, VG will fly in the beginning only to 2 US destinations (Boston and NY)

VG has no AOC until now. So let's wait and see.

SN says that America flights are not viable now, VG says the contrary.

SN is interested in Africa coz of the experience and the duopoly situation on many african routes (SN and AF). So they go back to Africa because they believe they van earn money there easily.
