Singapore Airlines Enhances It's SMS Service

Thu Mar 14, 2002 6:37 pm

(Not a press release)

Singapore Airlines announced that it's enhancing it's SMS service. SIA was the first to launch the worldwide service SMS-ing people with flight alerts via Unimobile.

KrisFlyer and PPS Club people can now have up to 30 flight alerts and now, they are automatically alerted if a flight is delayed for more than 30 minutes. (But I think they would probably realise that anyway  Laugh out loud)

Other users can now have up to 15 alerts, up from the previous 3.

In July 2000, Singapore Airlines launched an i-mode service in Japan, which is a kind of better than WAP but not as good as 3G sort of thing. I think one can receive more pictures and text and probably in colour too.

Anyone can fly, only the best Soar.
