For international First Class, anyone with a bed, or personal suite is way ahead. Don't know why NZ, with their general good service, hasn't adopted them, as QF and UA must be taking all the high yield South Pacific fares from them.
Has anyone tried the BA Business (Club World) Class beds? The cabin plans look very odd, with 2-4-2 (in J Class!), and alternate rear-facing seats. Upstairs looks a bit more civilised. I've also heard that the privacy screens can be a problem during meal service, but hey, a bed is a bed. On paper, the CX beds look better, but I believe they aren't widely available yet.
I really like SQ, CX, NZ and QF "standard" Business Class, but am curious about the trrend towards beds, and whether it's being done well? Comments would be appreciated.
