Definitely (as often said): Singapore Airlines. Followed not to far from Lufthansa.

In my own experiences:

Best first class seating: Singapore Airlines (2nd Swiss (old Swissair)
Best first class service: Malaysia Airlines (2nd Philippine Airlines)
Best first class meals: Philippine Airlines (2nd Air France)

Best business class seating: Cathay Pacific (2nd Virgin Atlantic)
Best business class service: Philippine Airlines (2nd Malaysia Airlines)
Best business class meals: Philippine Airlines (2nd SAS)

Actually I wonder why so few people mention both Malaysia Airlines and Philippine Airlines when it comes to inflight service? Both airlines are way ahead of SIA and Cathay..

Anyway all airlines mentioned offer good products in first and business so often it is down to the crew of the day as well as your own mood!

Cheers

For international First Class, anyone with a bed, or personal suite is way ahead. Don't know why NZ, with their general good service, hasn't adopted them, as QF and UA must be taking all the high yield South Pacific fares from them.
Has anyone tried the BA Business (Club World) Class beds? The cabin plans look very odd, with 2-4-2 (in J Class!), and alternate rear-facing seats. Upstairs looks a bit more civilised. I've also heard that the privacy screens can be a problem during meal service, but hey, a bed is a bed. On paper, the CX beds look better, but I believe they aren't widely available yet.
I really like SQ, CX, NZ and QF "standard" Business Class, but am curious about the trrend towards beds, and whether it's being done well? Comments would be appreciated.

I think business class is better on two class carriers like DL, CAl & KLM. Mostly more pitch, bigger seat. They don´t have three seaters with middle seats.

CX, SQ, JAL, MH, AA etc. have 7 abreast on 747 & 777. Those middle seats really lock you up....

They don´t have to limit their business class service because there is no First. In business you don´t feel like you are in second class.
