Story Of Gremlins

Mon Mar 18, 2002 4:32 am

When did the stories of gremnlins damaging aircraft and causing engine failures begin?

Did pilots make up these storys for entertainment or to come up with a scapegoat?

From the classic 50s Twilight Zone episode (remade in the 80s with that guy in Third Rock) perhaps?

I believe "gremlins" were any sort of inexplicable mechanical malfunction.
