Can DL's A330neo fly SEA-SIN/SYD!?

Thu May 16, 2019 12:45 pm

Can DL's A330neo out of Seattle fly SEA-SIN/SYD!? Singapore & Sydney are the 2 last 2 high yielding markets in the Pacific that DL doesn't fly out of SEA. What will happen to NRT-MNL/SIN when they move to HND!?

In theory it could, but the headwinds make westward flight across the Pacific pretty damn tough.

DL's A330neo MIGHT be able to reach Brisbane. Just. But Sydney? That requires an A350.

Singapore would need an A350.

If Delta want to fly to SIN/SYD from SEA they will either use the A359 or B777

And they won't want to fly SEA-SYD (LAX-SYD is a vastly bigger market) nor SEA-SIN (not with SQ on it) so the question is moot.

DL might have a better chance if they ordered this..... :airplane: .....

SIN & SYD are both iffy...although final performance results from its certification campaign could prove it's doable.

I would not have thought that SYD was closer to SEA than SIN. I’m always learning.

Perhaps then PR would finally launch its long-planned foray into SEA...but again, with what aircraft :?: Their A359 may still be too much plane for it. :scratchchin:
