Sun May 19, 2019 5:56 pm

MAN is effectively closed due to a power cut resulting in fuel being unable to be pumped.

Sounds awful, but that article says nothing about a power issue. Try this one.

Didn't they have a similar issue a few years ago when the supplies were disrupted and tankers brought fuel in and flights picked up fuel at BHX, LPL etc

Manchester Airport has power and plenty of fuel, feel free to stop by!

Oh, you mean MAN not MHT?

Never mind...
Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world
The heart has its beaches, its homeland and thoughts of its own
Wake now, discover that you are the song that the morning brings
The heart has its seasons, its evenings and songs of its own

Considering the original post says 'MAN', that's a pretty safe assumption.

There may be a world outside the US, but apparently it has no sense of humour. (See what I did there? For those devoid of mirth or who take themselves too seriously, I spelled it the British way).

Except his "joke" fell flat on its face. Wasn't funny in any way.

I doubt a power "cut" is the culprit, an airport surely has power coming from several points around the property, so unless there is a major blackout in the region, power is getting there. Now some electric installation might have problems, probably something directly related to fuel delivery.

Ethiopian 789 ET-AUO & Turkish 321N TC-LSB, along with LX, SK & VY 320s, diverted to BHX.

You would think, but remember this mess at ATL? https://www.cnn.com/2017/12/17/us/atlan ... index.html
