Air New Zealand 767 Tail, What Happened..?

Mon Mar 25, 2002 2:31 am

I was on the Boeing 767 photo search since last night, and continued on this morning, and this ANZ came across, I notice something missing or wrong with tail of this Air New Zealand Boeing 767-300 in Fayetteville / Springdale - Northwest Arkansas Regional (XNA), ARKANSAS. Why this plane sitting in Arkansas state...?

Remark:ZK-NCP ZK-NCP was originally scheduled to be delivered to Air New Zealand in .. wait for it.. late September 2001. Due to the downturn in traffic worldwide, it's no longer required, and will not be entering service with Air NZ. Quite a rare shot Iv'e been told.

As the remark of this photo, this Boeing 767-300 will not be returning to service with Air New Zealand.

It never entered service with NZ. It was due to be delivered in late September, but the 11/09 events stopped that.

I guess it's being stripped for parts, or something, which is why part of the tail seems to be missing.
