I'm going to have to say American. How can you say no to a great silver plane with the two A's and the eagle! and any airline wiht the name American in Red White and Blue just makes me happy.

Delta! AA is too plain. While the patriotic colours are nice, Delta by far blows the others out of the sky!

British Airways in the old "union jack" paint scheme.

Looks great on the 747's.

Ever heard of spell check? Have you ever used a dictionary?

Airliners.net has many forums. It has spell check and search functions. Use them before posting!

US Airways has the most prestigious livery, followed closely by British Airways "Landor" scheme. They both look very clean and professional.

I think the most prestigious airline paint scheme is, or should I say was TWA's. It's too bad they are not going to be around much longer.

Ok, the key word here is prestigious, and my vote would have to go for the old British Airways union jack livery. I don't think any livery exemplified as much class and dignity as theirs.

Bright red engines

Love it or hate it, United has an awesome livery. Particularly on the widebodies. USAir just looks like a cheap version (but hey, imitation is the sincerest.....).

BA with the crest was one of my all time favorites. Very British.

Any color scheme with gold, silver indicates high status, prestige, poshness, luxury. Also pastel shades tend to work.

Kind of interesting how opinions change over time.

If this question were asked a year ago on these forums, maybe even 6 months, DL, VS, and most certainly WN would have never have been even considered!

I'll stick to my guns here, and say the following are just a few of the classiest in my opinion:

I like Hawaiian Airlines livery on their new 767-300 aircraft "pualani" looks great on the tail and I think it captures the spirit of Hawai'i
