Does Anyone Recognize This Ex. AMC Aviation MD90?

Tue Mar 26, 2002 10:42 am

I saw an MD-90-30 parked at KEF on March 19th. The A/C didn't have any titles and had an US registration (N744BC). Some guys I asked told me that the A/C was being returned by an Egyptian airline and that it was on it's way to the US and only stopped at KEF because some navigational maps needed to be added to the A/C's computer (or something like that). After doing some research I found out that the aircraft is an ex. AMC Aviation jet. Only problem is that I don't know which one (could be SU-BMQ, SU-BNN, SU-BMS or SU-BMR). Does anyone know which one it is?

Here are some photos I took of the A/C:

There are no known MD-90-30 type aircraft with the registration N744BC. But, that is quite clearly the registration of the plane.

BMQ and BMS are still registered to AMC.

BMR is listed as RETURNED TO BCCI (a leasing company?) and stored at HAJ.

BMT is registered to UNI now, and is listed as stored at KAOHSIUNG

That's about all I can find.

Thanks for the info Randy!

I tried searching for the registration number N744BC before posting here but couldn't find anything either. Perhaps someone remembers other A/C's with a N***BC registration.

All help appreciated.

N744BC MD-90-30 msn 53553 registered to RGL-1 Corp, Long Beach, California, according to the FAA website.

That makes it ex SU-BMS
