Alitalia's 777's And The Rest Of Their Fleet.

Thu Mar 28, 2002 5:45 am

I flew Alitalia back in 2000 on a 747, which have now been retired. How are AZ's 767-300er's? Comfortable? Same seats as the 742? What are AZ's 777 seats going to be like? 2-5-2, or 3-3-3 seating in coach? Does anyone know if they will have PTV's in coach? Does anyone know the routes that they will use their 777's on? JFK-FCO, MXP?

What is Alitalia's domestic service like on the MD-80 and the A321? Looking foward to your reponses.

I reckon that AZ's 777s will have 3-3-3, pure speculation of course, but it seems Euro carriers like 3-3-3 in economy on 777s (BA, AF i think both have 3s)

I know this is wishful thinking . . . but I hope someday to see Alitalia's B777s in Asia.

This still is one of the most beautiful classic livery!

I-DIMA (LN 413) is due in Aug this year for AZ and it will be their first 777. The will have another four by January next year. In an earlier thread here about a month ago, it was mentioned that they will first be flying as substitution aircaft untill the winter schedule at the end of Oct. Then AZ will fly them on MXP-JFK first. Do a search for that thread to read more. No idea about configuration but agree that it's likely they'll have a 3-3-3 in economy class. Check my website for more info upcoming 777 deliveries. The777Man
