Gill Airways flew summer charters between Newcastle and Norwich to Jersey and Guernsey (Channel Islands) last year using ATR42's and ATR72's.The flights were on a saturday.I also know that a local based engineering company called Anglo-Normandy aviation took over Gill's engineering buisness.
Hope this is of some help.
Gill Airways were based art Newcastle Airport in the UK. At the point when they went into liquidation, they had 3 F100s, 3 ATR72s and 3 ATR42s. Their F100s were operated in AF colours and conducted NCL-CDG, CDG-GOT and CDG-HEL routes on behalf of AF. The other routes operated by the 72/42s were NCL-ABZ, NCL-DUB, NCL-BHD, NCL-STN, NWI-ABZ and in the summer NCL-JER-GCI and NWI-JER-GCI. The month when the bank pulled the funds was Gills best month ever.
They used to operate an ATR-42 leased from TUNINTER.This aircraft is now back to Tunis and it is stuck on Tunis-Carhage apron, waiting for a new hand !!!
It is still wearing the Gill Airways colours, but holding its previous Tunisian registration TS-LBA.
