UA's 777s: N210UA - N215UA; Why Different?

According to my 2001-2002 version of JP Airline Fleets, United has six 777s (N210UA through N215UA) that have only first class and coach. In addition, the seating capacity on these is 348. All the other 777s in the fleet (those delivered and those yet to be) have seating mixes of about 276.

Where are these six 777s used? Are they dedicated to certain routes, or are they rotated through the fleet along with the others?

In short, these are UAL's domestic 777s. They serve Hawaii-mainland and hub to hub flying.

I was on one last week ORD-SFO, the pilot said it was only a few weeks old. It was a sweet flight! (See my trip report if you're interested).

I don't care for these 2-class birds. I much prefer the First Class beds to a plain seat Laugh out loud

Because of the leisure traffic to HI they need to get as many people on as possible. If not you would have a lot of 757's operating on that long of a segment. If you are going to pay the fare for a International segment then yes you should get a premium seat. If you can remember that UA also had the DC-10 set up for HNL flying around. I am also suprised they have not been put on the LAS routes that the DC-10 was later relegated to.
