Cubana's European Destinations

Mon Apr 08, 2002 7:19 am

I have three sources from Cubana: the Sol y Son inflight magazine for March, a brochure titled "Cubana, flying towards the future...", and the web site. All list different information.

Web Site:

Barcelona
Frankfurt
Las Palmas
Madrid
Milan
Moscow
Paris
Rome

Inflight Magazine:

Las Palmas
Madrid
Milan
Moscow
Paris
Rome

Brochure (dated 12/01)

Barcelona
Berlin
Brussels
Frankfurt
Las Palmas
Lisbon
London
Madrid
Moscow
Rome
Santiago de Compostela
Victoria

Anybody have any idea which is most accurate?

I would guess the inflight magazine as that is likely to be updated the most often. Wow, that means that CU has cut a lot of its European destinations - I knew they stopped LGW last year and are thinking about going back.

As far as I know their flights to MXP and FCO are in code-sharing with LaudaAir Italia and operated with B767/300ER.

re: London...
Well, Air Jamaica will be flying from Heathrow to Havana (and on to Jamaica)...this might be on behalf of Cubana, or should take some traffic from the LGW DC-10 flights. Maybe the IL-62 will then return?

Cubana's ATR42s are the only Westen equipment in their fleet?

They also have F27s. The other western types they operate are leased in - more often wet-leased. I know that JM is starting LHR-HAV-KIN services soon but do not know whether that is a tie-in with CU.
