AA & Twa?

Mon Apr 08, 2002 1:52 pm

I was just on AA.com looking up flights and the flights displayed going through STL were listed as codeshare flights on TWA. I thought TWA ceased to exist as of January of this year and that everything was now AA. Is TWA still operating as a seperate division of AA or are they indeed incorporated as one. Looking here for a confirmation.  Smile
Thanks.

All flights are sold and marketed under the AA code. However, since they are still operating under the TWA LLC operating certificate, the flights are still "technically TWA" hence the code share. To the average consumer it does appear as a seemless AA product.
