I think I know... is it http://www.rlmsoftware.com you were looking for?...
On another note, I know this may not be possible, but is there any way to tell what airline a plane is that you see flying overhead? I always wonder and speculate, but I always wanted to know for sure...

I can usually identify what plane and airline i see when i look up in the sky, providing that it is flying at relatively low altitude. In west London i usually see lot's of BA jets flying overhead.

Ya, me too if it is low enough. I'll see low flying planes from RDU if the winds are right...So I take it there isn't any way to identify jets at cruise altitude?

Identifying Hi-alt Jets

Do you have a scanner? If so, you can eventually get the ATC frequencies for the high-altitude jets above you.

Do you know which airway(s) pass near you? For instance I think jets from the northeast to ATL most all cruise down J42.
