Cargo Plane Crashes In PMI

Fri Apr 12, 2002 5:15 pm

Just seen in the e-news.

A cargo plane from company Tadair (flight 306) coming from MAD, crashed this morning on short finals runway 24L in PMI.

Anyone have more info? What kind of cargo plane?

 Sad
Miquel.

Probably a Metro then...
Not again, after the recent Flightline Metro crash in Spain!

Lots of problems in Spain with cargo crashes.

Recently we had a PAN air 146 and and the Binter Casa

the metro was on approach to Son San Juan, a small airfield located about 3 miles west of PMI international.
came in from Madrid for landing. both crew died

aircraft reamains were quickly loaded on a truck.
Small time for authorities to examine ?!?

It crashed at PMI (which is also called Son San Juan) as Mighluss told at the beginning. Is was already cleared to land and above runway 24L and then suddenly nose-dived crashing heavily and ending belly-up. Both pilots died.

The registration is EC-GKR and this is the only photo in the database taken by myselft some years ago:
