In Flight Photos Of Landmarks

Sat Apr 13, 2002 11:23 pm

I don't even have the faintest idea where to start this search.

Can any of you post some photos (I'm sure there are some) of some aerial pictures of some prominent landmarks?

I would especially like to see some inflight shots of the greater LA area such as the Urban Sprawl, LAX, Downtown LA, ONT, SNA, etc.

Perhaps some of you that have flown from San Diego to the Bay Area or from Dallas to Hawaii have taken some.

Seeing as I live in the LA area, I've never had a chance to actually fly over it.

Also, can anyone post some other inflight (shots on takeoff or approach don't count. I want pix taken from 33K feet) pix of other prominent landmarks such as New York City, Las Vegas, the CA Central Valley, New York City, etc.

Thank you.

Ones like the first one....taken at cruising altitude. That's exactly what I want.

the ones taken at low altitude are ok, but not what I'm looking for.

Can you post pictures on here that are just saved as jpgs in the document folder on your computer?

Vulindlela:

It's not possible to upload pictures along with a message. You can only put a link to a picture that already exists on a website. If you don't have a personal website then consider getting yourself a free online photoalbum at e.g. Webshots.com. Once you have put a picture there, you can easily put a link to it so that it appears in your message (let me know if you need some help with that).
