Callsign Blueridge?

Tue Apr 16, 2002 10:52 am

Currently at DSM I heard on the scanner a callsign of Blueridge. When it landed it was an erj-135 and United Express. Anyone provide me with some more info on why a UEX had this callsign?

Thanks

Paul

That is the callsign for Atlantic Coast Airlines, which is a UEX carrier.

If it was a ERJ-145 it wasn't ACA. ACA doesn't operate any ERJs, just J41s, CRJs, and Dornier 328JET. Strange.

I hate to say that if you can not tell the difference between a Jungle Jet(ERJ) and a CRJ then you have no business spotting. And you say it was at DSM. I was about to put my foot in my mouth and say we did not fly to DSM but i just remembered we did. Anyways Blueridge is our callsign for both UA and DL. Our old callsign for DL used to be Patriot but then we merged the operating certificates.
