Tue Apr 16, 2002 8:11 pm

according to chinatimes.com.tw Mandarin Airlines of Taiwan was given permission to charter non-stop flights betwee the Taiwanese capital Taipei (TPE) and the North Korean capital of PyongYang (FNJ?) between 11MAY and the end of AUG totalling 14 flights.

It will be flown by a 737-800. Flight time is 3hr 30min

is there any other charters from other airlines?

Mandarin Airlines teams up with few travel agencies in Taiwan to launch Taipei-Pyongyang flight.

Most likely the travellers will fly to N.Korea for the annual Arirang festival.

China Airlines used to fly A300 to Pyongyang as charter before.
