NWA A320 In Old Scheme

Sat Apr 20, 2002 7:48 pm

I wasn't aware any of Northwest's A320's were delivered in the old paint scheme. Was this the only aircraft that was painted in this livery?

It's kinda nice to see the A320 painted up in this paint, don't you agree?

I think all the planes were re-painted into the current scheme prior to delivery to NW.

I can't put an exact number down, but only a couple had the old c/s on rollout.

I was surprised as well, because I thought the 320 launched the current paint scheme. I think it looks nice with the painted gray instead of the bare metal. It must be on the delivery flight via Prestwick, so I guess it was in service for awhile in this scheme.

If you ask me, I hated that old scheme. The plane looks exactly like they roll out of the manufactuer's building. It doesn't look well painted!
