Dassault Wants Embraer

Sat Sep 11, 1999 1:02 pm

It was reported by the Brazilian newspaper " O Estado de Sao Paulo" that Dassault has expressed an interest in buying 25% of Embraer's common shares.

Embraer's president, Mauricio Botelho, declined to comment the possible takeover.

The article also mentioned briefly that Embraer might relaunch its military aircraft projects. It was reported by the same newspaper yesterday that Venezuela's Air Force bought 8 units of Embraer's fighter AMX.

The fastest way to become a millionaire in the airline business is to start as a billionaire.
