When I was in TLS for my A346 course in Jan, the QF engineers were on their A330 course

From QF website

Qantas will take delivery of two A330 Cabin Service Trainers (CST) in June for the training of about 2,400 Short Haul Cabin Crew in preparation for the arrival of the Airbus A330 fleet.

Qantas last week finalised the contract for the trainers with RP Technologies, a UK-based company which produces simulators and trainers. The trainer galleys will be provided by Singapore Jamco.

The trainers will complement the existing Boeing 747 and 767 trainers in Sydney and the Boeing 767 and 737 trainers in Melbourne.

Acting Cabin Services Group General Manager Shayne Nealon said the trainers would arrive in June with training to commence in August after installation and commissioning.

"The trainers will be shipped in modules and assembled in-situ at the Sydney and Melbourne training centres. They will form a 16-metre section of fuselage with high fidelity replica cabin interior and seating for 60 passengers configured in both business and economy classes.

"The galleys will be fully operational with all associated stowages, and functional equipment such as ovens and beverage makers as they will be installed in the A330 fleet.

"These features will provide our staff with a highly realistic facility in which to train in all aspects of operation of cabin equipment and provide the highest possible standard of service and safety."

A project of this magnitude has not been undertaken since the 747 cabin simulators were installed in 1990 for the introduction of a new fleet of Boeing 747's.

Qantas has ordered 13 A330s for delivery between November this year and 2005 to provide for fleet flexibility and growth on domestic routes.

Great news,
The aircraft have been scheduled for Domestic/Regional use. Heres hoping that we will see them in CHC, has a schedule been worked out yet?
