727 Routes?

Mon May 06, 2002 2:00 am

I'm pretty sure DL, NW, ATA, and maybe some others still operate the 727 in the US.

Can you help me out with some routes that these airlines operate it on?

I'm desperate to get on one of these before they are gone!

Thanks for any info provided!

I think United still operates them as well.

Also, I mainly am looking at flights to and from AUS.

Thanks!

Vanguard is sub-leasing Trans Meridian 727s configured for 148-seats all-coach. Using them on MCI-MYR, MCI-MSY, MCI-LAS, MCI-SFO, and occasionally MCI-LAX.

a/c N906PG and N919PG

PG - could have something to do with all the money Pegasus invested in NJ...

No United 727s anymore.

From Austin, Delta operates a 727 to Atlanta once a day.

I would consult a timetable from DL or NW.

I'm not at home right now, so I'll have to go by memory.

NW-through June 6 only DTW-TPA, MEM-TPA, DTW-MCO, MEM-MCO I know that IND,PHL,EWR,MKE,GRR, get at least one.

DL-still quite a few destinations from ATL,DFW,SLC,CVG
none at JFK or MCO
Hope this helps.

Delta rarely brings a 727 into MCO these days. You can catch a Northwest 727 every once and a while, but generally, all you see of Northwest at MCO now is 757's and A320's. Champion Air, owned by Northwest, operates a 727 into MCO as well. And, just the other day, ATA brought a 727 (in old colors) into MCO, and I assume it was an equipment substitution, as they usually operate 752's, 753's, and 738's.
Change is: one airline, six continents!

Just a clarification, when I used the word "only", I was referring to the date, not the routes.

Delta Flight 352 leaves Austin at 8:35am and arrives in Atlanta at 11:33am, using a Boeing 727-200.

My home airport is GRR. I have seen a couple NW 727's lately. Man, it is beautiful to hear that thunderous roar, and groundshaking slow takeoff as a break from all the airbuses GRR gets. I will sorely miss them!

I think ATA still operates the MDW-LGA and MDW-MCO routes.
