JAT To Resume Flights To Pristina

Sat May 11, 2002 8:18 am

As announced today in Belgrade, JAT will resume its services to the Serbian province of Kosovo as of June 1st. JAT will fly BEG-PRI-TIV and TIV-PRI-BEG three time a week.

The PRI-TIV-PRI domestic route reflects a growing demand for holiday planning on the Adriatic, amongst mainly Albanian-Serbs.

On a similar note:
The UN have recently asked the Serbian Air Traffic authorities to return to Pristina.

The status has not changed: Kosovo and Metohia remains as province of Serbia.

Furthermore, since September 11th, the international community has overwhelmingly plegded support for Kosovo to remain in Serbia. Currently the United Nations administers civil issues in the province, until a more permanent solution is envisioned between Albanian-Serbs and Belgrade.
