Aeroflot SVO-ICN Is Flown By Il-19 Turboprop?

Mon May 13, 2002 10:13 am

I was just checking times for flights from Europe to Asia (I was curious) and from LHR to ICN, I found this: Aeroflot LHR-SVO Airbus jet, Aeroflot SVO-ICN Il-19 NONSTOP. First of all, what is an Il-19? That is what it said, not Il-18. How fast are they and how far can they fly? I didn't know Aeroflot had them.

I think it was a typo as Aeroflot currently flies a IL-96 on this route.

This also happens to Aeroflot's BKK-SIN.

Currently SU 599 and return SU 600 to Inchon are flown by IL 96's. A great chance to fly them! I wish I could finally try them.
Il 19 does not exist to the best of my knowledge and Aeroflot have made their Il 18 redundant long ago.

the official abreviation IL9 doesn't mean Il-19...
as above mentioned a typo and its for sure a Il-96

has there ever been a Il-19?
