TWA's Stock In Worldspan.

Thu May 16, 2002 1:03 pm

What happened to TWAs stock in Worldspan when American bought TWA? Did they sell it to Northwest and Delta, who still use worldspan, or did they keep it as an investment. Do former TWA reservations agents still use part of it? I can't imagine American using any part of anything but Sabre.

AMR still holds the ownership stake. It takes permission and an agreed-upon price from the other two members to sell out. Neither NW or DL is currently willing to buy out AMR's stake.

AMR is collecting revenue from Worldspan and biding its time...TC

I should not be long before Amadeus purchases Worldspan.

They have been negotiating for a while now.

I doubt that you will see Worldspan merge with Amadeus anytime soon...

More money is available from an IPO
