It was a Bombadier Challenger. I think it was a private registered aircraft.
I'm not a real aeronautical engineer, I just play one on

It was a Private jet, the Government did not send President Carter. I assume the Carter foundation paid for the flight.

The plane belongs to Fuqua, who was supposed to go with Jimmy, but pulled out at the last minute.
