I live very close to PIT, and we're lucky to get two or three A330s a day.

When I lived in PHL, we got a daily A340 when LH came in from FRA.

My home airport is YVR, and I have seen Air Canada, Lufthansa, Singapore airlines' A340s. There may be more, but I can't seem to remember right now.

At SFO, I've seen SQ, LH and AF A340-300's on regular flights. I believe that SQ may drop the A343 on the ICN-SFO route by this fall (replaced by a 777-200ER) and AF might fly the A343 on the CDG-SFO route again after the summer season ends.

Here at BOS we have gotten:

Air France - Occasionally - Not a regular visitor anymore
Lufthansa - The new Boston-Munich run
Olympic - This service will cease for the Summer of 2002
Sabena - God rest her soul - Does SNBrussels have A340's?
Virgin Atlantic - Very rare but I've seen a few visits.

HKG must be the 'city of the A340'! We get:

Cathay Pacific (loads everyday for obvious reasons)
China Airlines
Virgin Atlantic
Air Mauritius
Sri Lankan
Air Canada
Gulf Air
Lufthansa
Philippines

And I believe we will be getting the following in the near future:

South African (-600)
Virgin (upgrade to -600)
Air Canada (upgrade to -600)
Cathay (extra -600s)
Swiss (when their M11s get replaced by 343s)
See my homepage for a comprehensive guide to spotting and photography at HKG

At ORD, I see several A340's from various airliners.

At MNL, most A340's seen at any one time undoubtedly belong to Philippine Airlines.

Austrian Airlines has their 2 A342 and 2 A343 stationed here in Vienna. Canada 3000 used to bring some A340??s into Vienna but they are now long gone.

At Munich,

-Lufthansa (BREAKING NEWS), currently 8 based here (I think) to JFK, ORD, SFO, BOS, NRT, HKG, PVG, JNB (in southern summer only), DXB (from October 02)
-China Eastern to PEK-PVG

saw an Air Canada A340 a couple of times.
Air Mauritius had some too, but they mostly come with the B767

We had A340 flights in Brussels of Sabena, but you know what happened with this great airline company  Crying

Now, we have from time to time an Egyptair A342 (very rare) and we will have about three months long once a week an A343 of Air Mauritius now.

No more A340's here  Sad

ZRH, Switzerland:
We only have Air Mauritius once weekly nonstop from Mauritius and back via Brussels with an A340-300 at the moment.

However, Swiss will replace its MD-11s by A340-300s and if Air Switzerland will ever fly, they will also have two A340-300s in Zurich. Therefore we could have 15 (!!) A340-300s based in ZRH in two years.

The A340 (and A330) is a rare sight at my local airport, KEF (Keflavik, Iceland).
There are no scheduled flights, that I know of, that come here using the A340.
I suppose, however, that they have come here from time to time.

Former A340 operators into ATL:

Sabena (alternated w/an A330 several times a week)
Austrian (same as above)

In Amsterdam we get:

- Singapore Airlines 343
- Cathay Pacific 343, but this has switched to the 744 again for the summer
season
- Kuweit Airways 343 on the Kuweit-Amsterdam-Chicago route
- Egyptair once in a while, they use a variety of aircraft to AMS, including
the 342, 772, 743, AB6, A320/321, 767
- Virgin Atlantic comes to AMS for maintenance/repainting once in while but
this is rare
- Iberia was spotted with the 343 as well in the past, mainly in the summer
season, but this is a rare sight as well

HKG sees quite a lot of A343s:

Cathay Pacific - Obviously as they're a HK-based carrier. Cathay will also be receiving 3 A346s later this year & next year.

Virgin Atlantic - VS will replace the A343 with the A346 on HKG-LHR once they take delivery.

Air Canada - They'll cease use of the A343 & operate the A346 on HKG-YYZ upon delivery.

China Airlines
Sri Lankan Airlines
Lufthansa
Philippine Airlines
Air Mauritius
Gulf Air

In addition, South African Airways will replace the 747 they currently operate on HKG-JNB with the A346.

At MEX, I think there is a 3x Iberia flight with A340 that complements the daily 747 run. AF used to fly with A340 for a while before switching to 777. That's it.
