NZ And SB Codeshare...

Tue May 21, 2002 7:41 pm

Hey Guys,
I noticed quite a while ago that AirNZ has started to Code-share with AirCalin on the NOU route.
Do you think this is wise?? SB have real bad service compared to NZ!! And pax could get ticked off at NZ for giving them a NZ flight number, but they are really hopping on-board an SB aircraft with SB crew.

Is there also some sort of strategic advantage in this?? Is NOU that bad?? I havent been able to access the loads lately...

I was thinking this could be a plan for the future J class cutting. Putting AirNZ J class pax on board SB and carrying the leisure pax on board AirNZ!!

Cheers guys

ANZ claims that the demand for Noumea-Auckland is not really high, so it would be wise for ANZ and Air Calin to codeshare on each others' flight, instead of competiting against each other.

Now both SB and NZ flies 2 weekly, so that makes 4.
