Frontier Lavatories - What Is Up With Them?

Thu May 23, 2002 6:23 am

Sorry for the topic, had a friend travelling Frontier, said the toilets were destroyed, cracks all over the toilet area, as if someone had been jumping up and down on it.......especially in some new aircraft.......what do people be up to that can cause such problems?

It's probably because some people have no respect for equipment; if it doesn't belong to them, they don't care. You wouldn't believe some of the things that people try to flush down lavs. It makes me wonder...if you wouldn't try to flush it at home, why would you try to flush it on an airplane? I've also seen some damage in other areas of the cabin by people with no disregard for the property of others. I guess they think that purchasing a ticket gives the the right to tear things up.

Especially on lowcost airlines... People who would otherwise travel on busses and trains (have you seen the state of many of those?) now travel on aircraft.
For decades bus and train operators have been battling people putting knives to their seats, spraying grafitti in traincars and busses, chewing gum on seatbacks, etc. and all that's in full view of the other passengers.
In a toilet there's noone to see what you're doing, anonimity assured. Remember the public outcry when airlines were proposing installing TV cameras in toilets to catch terrorists using them to assemble bombs and weapons?

Yes, those of us lowlifes who travel on low cost airlines do tend to rough them up a bit. We should be more like the first class passengers on the majors and just defecate on the serving cart. That ought to get us some respect real fast.

Jwenting,

You're putting us on, right? No one actually could believe a premise as absurd as that...right?
