Jetsgo's First MD80?

Thu May 23, 2002 7:22 am

According to the TC website, this MD83 has been imported into Canada this month. Seems likely that this would be one of JGo's.

I hope he's not keeping the Korean Air livery, because it's hideous!

Where's JetsGo going to be based? Do they have a hangar or maintenance base yet? Where is it?

I don't think there have been any official releases yet but it's looking like a June 12th start date.

Actually I like the Korean livery.

Canadian MD-80's at last.....yahoo! (Oops, I mean McDonnell Douglas apparatuses -83).

I dumped at the gybe mark in strong winds when I looked up at a Porter Q400 on finals. Can't stop spotting.

Ummm...Neil, don't you mean more like Boeing MD-83s. Eeks! I don't think I'll ever get used to referring to MD's products as Boeing aircraft.

Oh yes those all mighty McDonnell Douglas apparatuses -83, or is it McDonnell Douglas MD-83, or Boeing MD-83, never the less I'm just as confused about the damn plane as Jetsgo!....lol.

OC should be approved within a week or two, they were having some problems getting their oc at first, but I think those have been dealt with...One all white MD83 was seen sitting in front of ROYAL's hanger in YUL this week...

I believe there has been a blue one (most likely the Korean colours) parked outside the Inter Canadian hanger at YUL as well. Perhaps they plan on using the old Royal hanger at Dorval.

I flew into YUL (Montreal) from DCA (Washington Reagan) on Monday. My Air Canada CRJ taxied right beside the old hanger row.

There was a couple of Air Creebec turboprop aircraft as well as a couple of white tail ATR 42's with "N" registration numbers.

No MD-83's or anything close though.

It could be inside the old Royal (a.k.a. Canada 3000) hanger but I couldn't tell because the door was closed.

By the way, the address listed for the equipment owner on the above thread is the same one as the old Royal office I believe. Cote-de-Liesse is a suburban highway in a commercial area that runs parallel to runway 24 L at YUL.

That must be a new addition, I've been snooping around for a few weeks and didn't see a thing.
