Aer Lingus 737 At ORD Today?

Tue May 28, 2002 6:51 am

Saw an Aer Lingus 737 at Chicago O'Hare today parked at the International Terminal - - - does anyone know what route and frequency for this "lost" bird?

AND NO - IT WAS NOT AN A330.

It was probably leased by apple vacations. Saw an Aer Lingus 732 in CMH two weeks ago, and was really surprised until it parked close to us and I could see an apple vacations sticker on the side.

That would have been a 737-400, not -200, Delta15. There is an aircraft currently leased to Apple Vacations in EI colours (EI-CRC) - that's most likely what you saw.

In fact, they were most likely the same aircraft, at ORD and CMH, I would say...

Yes, I saw an Aer Lingus 737-400 about a month ago in ORD, I was surprised to see it there and wondering what it was doing in the United States. I knew it was not a delivery flight from Seattle because the 737-400 is out of production. But now I have the answer, it's an aircraft leased to Apple Vacations. I saw another one also at JFK.
