Questions About A333X And A332

Tue May 28, 2002 8:14 am

What are the differences, besides fuselage length and range, between the A330-300X (Long range version) and the A330-200? How can the -200 have a greated MTOW when it's smaller? Are the fuel capacities the same? What are the differences in takeoff performance at MTOW's? Are they good short-field performers? What are the differences between the PW4168 and PW4168A engines? etc...etc... As much info as possible would be great? Thanks a lot.

P.S. Does airbus.com have a detailed section for their aircraft performance specifications as boeing.com does? Copy and paste this URL to see what I'm talking about. This particual URL is for the 767400: http://www.boeing.com/assocproducts/aircompat/7674sec3.pdf

And here it is, back to the top  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

The A333 and A332 can both be ordered with a MTOW of max. 233t, so, no difference here.

The A332 has a center fuel tank more, than the A333 (IIRC). This and the lower empty weight results in longer range.

Just curious, what does IIRC mean? And I though the 300X did have a center tank? Am I wrong? Also, do you know about takeoff performance and the difference between the PW4168 and PW4168A? Thanks.

IIRC is an acronym for If I Remember Correctly, just as IMHO is In My Humble Opinion.

Go to PW's website, I think you might find more there.

Oops. I was thinking it was something like IGW is increased gross weight. That's a new one for me.

332 and 333 have the same engines right? So,thats why the MGTOW is the same, although the 332 is smaller.
