New Paint Schemes?

Wed May 29, 2002 7:56 am

Which airline do you think needs a new paint scheme? It can be because the current scheme is ugly or just old, but lets hear it.

Mine is American. I love the paint scheme (or lack of?) now but it's been around for a while. They need to introduce a new livery!

I believe American can use a new paint scheme, keep the bare metal look, but modify it in some way please!!!!

My personal winner in this contest is "Alliance" from South Africa. They use a great aircraft (Boeing 747SP) and fly a lot of interesting routes from Africa, but their colors!!
Especially the tail looks like they gave a bunch of schoolchildren a couple of spraycans (I guess they actually did it!). Very cheap!

Aero California desperately needs a new paint scheme... they have never changed it... also Mexicana's paint scheme is quite ugly... (dull)

I agree that AA needs new paint. Their planes are very elegant, and very patriotic, but very, very, archaic looking. The metallic element is nice, though.

Also, NW really could use a new color scheme. Theirs is really, really ugly.

Yes the AA needs to be revamped or something. Do like BWIA move from a nice formal conservative livery to one that just screams at you. I mean it is a good way to advertise how can you not miss the new one (green)

I think BWIA' livery is too loud... but hey, I'm a soft spoken guy, so, what do I know.
As I've posted before, I wished Air Canada had incorporated the Canadian Airlines proud wings paint scheme into their maple leaf livery. I was very disappointing to see that really attractive Canadi>n livery disappear so quickly. A real shame.... but, what do I know.
