Korean Air To Increase Capacity To Auckland!

Thu May 30, 2002 7:29 pm

Just checked KE's schedules and it appears that KE will from Tuesday July 2 operate a 747-400 on it's daily Seoul Auckland flight replacing the current 777-200! From October 27 KE will again increase capacity by adding 3 extra flights so will be operating a total of 10 weekly 747-400's 8 non-stop and 2 via Nadi!

Good news!
KE must be doing well down under!

I look foward to once again seeing their 744's!

I doubt it.

Because some of the flight will be re-named as KE8823/8824, it usually means that this flight is additional flight or capacity upgrade flight.

Also, KE is using a mix of 744 and 772 to AKL this upcoming Southern Summer.

KE are doing very well down under. The amount of Koreans living in New Zealand now, out numbers any other asian culture here! And as you know, there are LOADS!

Cheers

According to OAG, KE will use a mix of 744/772 to AKL.

I doubt it because the flight which the 744 will fly is KE8823. Just wondering why would KE is using KE8xxx, instead of KE8xx.

Some flights last summer used KE8823 when there was only 1 flight for that day! There is also KE8825! What is the link for OAG?

Where do you think the extra flights will park? The jukebox museum?

Wake up AKL Airport, your airside facilities need URGENT upgrading!!!! Making international travellers wait in a line for 2 hours just to get near quarantine and then try to excuse it by saying "oops, peak time" is totally NOT ON!
